Steam just showed him in-game with a BUSA IS NOW PLAYING in the chat window after we tried a few things but then he went offline... been 8 minutes now     not sure what happened...

I googled his gpu and checked some 3rd party driver and beta driver sites i frequent and found that quite a few people have issues with it. Usually ware it involves open gl. I'm curious about the graphical issues after the lock up. I have owned alot of cards most being on the high end of hardware and have experienced almost every issue imaginable when it comes to them. All were fixable and if not an rma did the trick. Check this post and tell me if the graphical issue experienced looks anything like the one provided.

Yea he told me last night if he goes offline its because his computer locks up during parsing game info and the only way to get out of it is to reset it.

He should be back in a few

haha, sorry to leave ya hanging fatty.  i checked the time after i rebooted after the final failure and noticed that i needed to get ready and scoot on to work.

but open, my graphical issue looks worse than the one u posted.  that one there just kinda looks fuzzy.  mine looks more like the graphics went through a shredder and were put back on the screen at random spots.
